The Ironwood Ridge High School Volleyball Program is one of the top volleyball programs in Arizona. Over the past 15 years, the Nighthawks have been ranked in the State’s top 10 including being the number 1 ranked team in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, and 2020. Locally, Ironwood Ridge has won the Region Championship 14 times over the last 17 seasons.
Located in Oro Valley, Ironwood Ridge is a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association. Since 2007, the Nighthawks compete in the 5A conference - the second highest division in the State..
Those in attendance at a volleyball match will not only be viewing interscholastic athletics at its best, but will also be enjoying a high school volleyball environment unlike any other in the state. Ironwood Ridge boasts Arizona’s only volleyball-only venue, creating a unique experience for the players and fans! The Nighthawks traditionally play the toughest schedule in Southern Arizona, bringing some of the State's top teams into the gym for feature matches.
In addition to providing an entertaining product, the Nighthawks strive for and focus on success in the classroom. Our student-athletes maintain some of the highest GPA’s on campus. Ironwood Ridge has earned the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association’s national Team Academic Award 20 years in a row!

The Nighthawk Volleyball Venue at Ironwood Ridge High School was selected by prepvolleyball.com and ESPNHS.com as the “Best Home Court Advantage” in the nation! The unique and intimate design, along with the student and fan sections, were credited in the recognition.

Fan Demographics: Who are Nighthawk Volleyball Fans?
Typical fans are between the ages of 14-65 with a big part of the group being our student body. Ironwood Ridge offers free admission to our feeder schools (middle school fans) who bring their parents and friends to our home games. The other large group includes parents, siblings, grandparents, and alumni from the school.
Nighthawk Volleyball Fans can become all-stars for your business! The Ironwood Ridge Volleyball fan base is largely suburban, community-minded, and intensely loyal; meaning when you sponsor the Nighthawks, our fans can become your most loyal customers!

State Tournament Home Match Sponsorship
Ironwood Ridge Volleyball has hosted the first rounds of the State Tournament as one of the top seeds in 14 of the past 17 tournaments. Local businesses can sponsor the first and/or second round by offsetting the admission for the student body. Sponsorship may include recognition on crowd t-shirts, game program, and public address announcements.
